What's up my people! I'm the host of the talk show "Baseline" heard Saturday mornings, 7am-8am (CST-Live) on WKKC/Radio Chicago, 89/3FM, on-line at www. wkkc.fm. Radio is a passion of mine. The Chris Base Bio.

"Communication is the key" is one of the mottos that Chris Base lives by. A lifelong Chicagoan, Chris landed his first professional on-air job in 1990 at jazz radio station WBEE-AM/Chicago as evening host of "The Night Train". Even though being a disc jockey was great, it was talk radio that fueled his passion, and that led him to WLS-AM/Chicago radio as a producer in 1991. While at WLS, he also worked simultaneously as a talk host at WWCA-AM radio in Gary, Indiana in 1994 as the host of "Here and Now". This led him to work at talk station WVON-AM/Chicago as production assistant and host in 1996. In that same year, Chris became a talk host on WLS.

While at WLS, Chris has also lent his experience at Kennedy-King College in 1998 as News Director for the City Colleges of Chicago's radio station WKKC-FM. After 2 years there, Chris returned to his Alma Marta, Columbia College Chicago as a professor in Radio Broadcasting where he also taught a course in Talk Radio for 5 years. In February, 2004, Chris parted company with WLS. Later, he would go on to host the weekly internet talk show "Baseline…with Chris Base" on PSIRadio.com (now defunct).

Currently, Chris brings "Baseline" back to Chicago radio station WKKC Radio (89.3FM) on-line at www.wkkc.fm, Saturday mornings at 7am (CST). Chris also serves as a News Anchor for Clear Channel Radio Chicago's WGCI-FM, WGRB-AM and Midway Broadcasting's WVON/Radio Chicago. The self-proclaimed "Grand Pubah" also formed "Basewave Communications", which allows him to do speaking engagements, panel discussions, anywhere he can talk into a mic! Even though radio continues to be Chris' first professional love, he decided to follow his own advice that he gave to his students when he was a professor, "Always learn and have fun!"
